Maniototo Museum: Sporting Heroes Exhibition

An exhibition that looks at sporting heroes in the Maniototo through the ages. The Museum also tells the stories of the early settlers of the Maniototo with a strong focus on the history of the gold miners and pioneer families who made their homes in this spectacular, picturesque and unique corner of Central Otago.

Alexandra Blossom Festival

The Alexandra Blossom Festival in Central Otago marks the arrival of spring with three weeks of fun and entertainment. The festival includes: The Race Around The Clock and Mardi Gras (23 September);The Grand Procession and Party in the Park (24 September) complete with strikingly decorated floats and Float Princesses who each vie for the title of Festival Queen; "Thunder" Sunday (drag racing (25 September)), Garden Tours (25 & 26 September) and the Wool On Fashion Event(14 &15 October.
