Maniototo Museum: Sporting Heroes Exhibition

An exhibition that looks at sporting heroes in the Maniototo through the ages. The Museum also tells the stories of the early settlers of the Maniototo with a strong focus on the history of the gold miners and pioneer families who made their homes in this spectacular, picturesque and unique corner of Central Otago.

The Truth Game

The Truth Game, at Dunedin's Fortune Theatre, is a fast-paced contemporary New Zealand drama about ambition, love, loyalty and betrayal – seen through the prism of a world in flux.
Legendary newspaper man, Frank Stone, knows a story when he sees one and doesn’t much care who he offends or what he has to do to get it.
As Frank pursues the one big story that might crown his career and earn him the editorship of The Advocate, he is forced to confront the demons of his past and the colliding demands of his professional and personal lives.
The Truth Game is written by Simon Cunliffe and directed by Lara Macgregor. It is proudly presented by Otago Daily Times by arrangement with Playmarket.

Oamaru is fast establishing itself as the Steampunk capital of NZ. Steampunk HQ is home to curious machines and steam powered devices from other worlds. Within its depths you will discover portals to unexplainable and uncharted dimensions filled with unusual sights to fascinate and delight! The SPHQ 001 Engine on display outside the Steampunk HQ comes to life in the evening billowing out steam and fire, enchanting the crowds of onlookers that gather.
